Maximize What Little Time We Have

We all have the same number of hours in the day my friends. Whenever I feel I do not have enough time I try to remember that Steve Jobs ran two multimillion dollar companies at the same time. He has the exact same number of hours in the day as I do. It's not about having enough time. It's about what items you prioritize at the top of your list.

Here's a fun exercise. There are 168 hours in a week. If you spend 8 hours a night sleeping you can cut that down to 112. Assuming you work 40 hours per week, now you're at 72. Let's say you spend another 3 hours each day eating (51 hours left). Block out another 2 hours per day for driving (37 hours left).

Now that you have blocked out all the necessities, where are you spending the extra 37 hours? Write down where you spend that time now and ask yourself if those hours are helping you grow or preventing you from it. That's over five hours PER DAY that you could be spending with your family or working on your new business idea. Too often we spend those hours in front of a TV or computer screen mindlessly tuning out life.

Maximize your time my friends. Write out what you want to do with 37 hours each week and stick with it.
